Taking a few hours off… need to write about 10,000 words (sensible ones!!) in 10 days…
News from Neko country:
Not a lot really :p
The Dissertation of Doom (yes, by now it deserves capitals) is finally progressing: I didn’t get a valid data set until after the deadline so I have until the 28th December now.
I have a place to live in the ‘new’ town; just midweek lodgings, I’ll be back in Southampton (and the Dungeon, sadly) most weekends, the people I’m renting a room from seem really nice and have a cat which bodes well.
The not-spouse-creature has a job but it does not start until January so it’s going to be a scroogy Christmas. I think I’m relying on the trusty M&S vouchers from the aged grandparents to buy Christmas dinner with.
In other news:
“Like Capt. Mal Reynolds stumbling in after a bar fight, the short-lived but much beloved sci-fi series Firefly will soon make an unexpected return, not as a TV show, but as a massively multiplayer online game.
Now that’s shiny.
Multiverse, maker of a free MMO-creation platform, plans to announce Friday morning that it’s struck a deal with Fox Licensing to turn the show into an MMORPG in the fashion of Star Wars Galaxies or Eve Online.” from Wired
I agree. Super shiny. You can’t stop the signal.
